I'm a broken record for saying this, but every time you post pictures of autumn I always mention the color is one of the things I mist most about home in New England. We just don't have that in the desert.

There's plenty of beauty here but it's more naked, hard, rugged and brown. I will say however that a blooming desert after a wet winter is fabulous like no other landscape, best hiking ever.

We're supposed to get rain on Monday, and I figure it will probably take the rest of the gorgeous leaves to the ground.

I need to get some of my the blood red Japanese maples posted.
