As seen in the opening credits of Designing Women, the Villa Marre, built by Angelo Marre for his "bride," Jennie in 1881. (You'll have to read the linked entry to see why I put the word bride in quotes.)

It was a long day.

But I got a lot accomplished and spent the evening enjoying the company of dear friends.

After we had a bite to eat, we stopped by the Big Dam Bridge on the North Little Rock side to look at the lights.

The "new" United States Post Office - the building was constructed in 1932, after services in the "old" Post Office building outgrew available space.

The building was constructed in the Classic Revival style.

Post office operations ceased in the building in the 1980s, and with the construction of the "new, new" Richard Sheppard Arnold courthouse completed in 2006, the building is no longer used for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Arkansas.
